Pomeranian Toilet Training

Before you do the training, you must be aware of Pomeranian urine marking. It means that the dog, especially the male one, will mark their places by urining.

When you take home your Pomeranian puppy for the first time, it is a must to introduce him or her with a proper Pomeranian toilet training. Many people do it wrong so that Pomeranians will end up peeing everywhere they like. Pomeranian puppies are commonly easier to train if you get them from a well-known and trust-worty breeder. It is because breeders will commence proper trainings since the puppies are very little, including how to pee and potty on the provided tray or newspaper. If the puppies were born in dirty environment, they will be harder for a house training. It is also possible that they cannot be trainned at all if they get used to such dirty conditions for quite sometimes.

Before you do the training, you must be aware of Pomeranian urine marking. It means that the dog, especially the male one, will mark their places by urining. Therefore, you need to be strict to train the puppies to pee and potty on particular spot only. Rule of the thumb for the first training is that you have to give restricted access to the puppy. You need to supervise them and make sure that they will not wander around the house for at least the first few week. Sometimes, we feel pity to put puppies in the playpen since they look very little and fragile, but you need to put them in the playpen. If you allow them to pee and potty around the house for the first couple of days, it is almost certain that your training will be slower and harder. Therefore, you have to determine your mind that you are doing this for the sake of the dog as well as your family. So, what you need to do is keeping the puppy a playpen and provide him/her with meal, water, comfortable pillow and a clean newspaper as the base. This is where the puppy will sleep for the next few weeks. When the puppy wakes up or after the puppy eats, you can take him/her out to let them pee and potty at a particular desired spot. When they do what we asked them to do, you can cuddle and reward them saying how good and smart he/she is.

Unfortunately, sometimes accidents happen that the Pomeranian puppy pee or potty not in determined spot. When this happens, you should never get angry and smack the puppy because it may hurt him/her. You should also avoid punishing the puppy by rubbing his/her nose into the pee or potty. It is good for nothing as it will just make them frustrated and scared, without taking any lesson from the punishment. What you can do to stop Pomeranian urine marking by accident is cleaning the stain with white vinegar. This substance is great to remove the smell of urine and potty from the floor or carpet, so that the puppy will not pee and potty on it again.

Some tools are available to help your Pomeranian toilet training, such as wee wee pad and grass puppy potty. These products will encourage the puppies to pee and potty on it. You can just place them on the place where you want them to do these things.

It does take patience to train your new puppies, but it is worth the effort as they will be properly house trainned for many years to come.
